An episode of Cops reveals some hysterical moments from the past involving Earl and his friends. But this week's episode threw the sentiment aside for some pure, no holds barred comedy, and in the process, delivered an extremely funny half hour of television. A brief framing device set the scene for what was to come, as everyone at the Crab Shack was having in the doldrums, which Earl explained was pretty standard for a Sunday, a day where Darnell tells Earl, "Just so you know, we're all out of seafood and meat. Little Chubby turns out to be one. After Earl kicked him in the nuts, the pain made him take a walk to take his mind off of it. His walk made him realize Good Feels Good , and came back to take over the family business with this philosophy. When this was fixed, Little Chubby instantly went back to being a Jerkass. Before Little Chubby could get revenge for the Groin Attack , Earl reminded him that he didn't want to die being hated, so he gave himself a Groin Attack so he could go back to being nice.
It's definitely the most frenetic episode to date. But I couldn't find one. So I settled for cracking open a cold beer and hoisting my frosty mug in salute. This episode is unadulterated genius, even better than I could have hoped for - Catalina's absence notwithstanding.
